- Installation of a fire sprinkler system throughout the house to increase safety measures and to comply with Borough ordinance.
- Complete renovation of the existing sleeping and personal space to accommodate the number of active members and the needs of today’s college students.
- Installation of a new and updated HVAC system for both heating and cooling of the house. The new system will include individual room controls for better heating and cooling efficiency.
- Complete re-wiring of the whole house to accommodate wireless communications needed for today’s college student to study and complete online assignments, etc.
- Restoration and encasement of the colorful stained glass windows that set KDR apart from the other fraternity houses on campus (already 50% complete).
- Renovation and modernization of the bathroom facilities which have endured much wear and tear over the years.
- Creating four suites upstairs to retain seniors and their leadership skills in the house.
- Partial excavation of the basement to expand the size of the current chapter room which will become the Meeting/Multipurpose Room. Two bathrooms will also be added. The current party room area will be transformed into the ultimate hangout space for studying, relaxing or entertaining. Equipped with booth seating, TVs, and wireless Internet access, it will provide the perfect place for alumni to hang out during Homecoming, Blue/White Weekend, Arts Festival or any other weekend in Happy Valley.
