I am pleased to report that the Gamma-Xi chapter of Kappa Sigma is alive and thriving and was able to successfully make it through the challenging fall covid-19 semester. The exceptionally warm fall was a big plus as the chapter was able to spend quality time on the patio and adjoining basketball court in socially distanced manner. The chapter took a fall sophomore pledge class of three despite the shortened semester. Formal rush will take place after the second semester resumes, February 1st.
The campus was very much locked down from the Granville community with classes both virtual and in classroom. Over two thousand students were on campus. Virus testing took place throughout the semester with occasional positive individuals being quarantined. Testing Classes ended the week prior to Thanksgiving with finals taken at home.
Certainly, for the rest of us, it will be unforgettable, with more to come. I sincerely hope that you were minimally affected and are keeping safe and healthy. To the brothers of Gamma-Xi everywhere, the Board extends its warmest wishes for a happy holiday season and a safe, healthy and rewarding new year.
