Andrew Krawchyk ’11

Why did you join Kappa Sigma?
“The main reason I joined Kappa Sig was the opportunity to become a founding father. No other fraternity was able to offer such a prestigious and rare opportunity. However, at first I was reluctant to join because of the negative image I had of the Greek life community at Denison pre-Kappa Sig, but we talked as a group about the chance we had to change that image and make a difference on campus.

What is the funniest memory from your Kappa Sigma days?

“One that I can write about involves my good friend Adam Cherubini. I had a Jeep Wagoneer and was one of the house chauffeurs. It was February and I was driving some Brothers to the Quad and when I dropped them off there were a bunch wanting a ride back to the House. The inside filled up, so Adam jumped on the back bumper and hung on with his hands to the luggage rack on the roof.

Award-Winning Alum Has Helped Preserve the History of Kappa Sig

Accomplished Kappa Sigma alum Bill Wickham ’58 has finally slowed down. After 40 years of work and dedication to the Gamma Xi Chapter at Denison and a long legal career, he has been spending his time primarily taking care of his wife, Nancy. From his time as an undergraduate, to his positions internationally, to the awards he was presented, Bill never faltered on his love for Gamma Xi. This distinguished brother’s work, however, leaves an imprint on the fraternity.

James(’73) and Will(’11) Curto

What do two of our brothers who graduated in 1973 and 2011 have in common? James and William Curto have a bigger relationship than just being Kappa Sig brothers – they are also father and son.

Although there is a nearly 40-year gap between their college experiences, their time as undergraduates were similar in many ways. Both men took on leadership positions within the fraternity. James ’73 even served as Grand Master for a period of time.
